What is the Journey to Jubilation?
The Journey to Jubilation is a multi-session activity for Group Managers, adults, and girls to get the most out of planning and attending Jubilation.
As with any Girl Scout trip or event, preparation is as important as the event itself – for both the adults and the girls.
Working in partnership with your girls during any trip or event preparation offers a fantastic opportunity for skill-building, confidence-building, and leadership development. And, by being fully prepared, everyone will get more out of the event itself, things will run smoothly, and calm will prevail so that fun can be the priority.
The Journey to Jubilation is an event activity for Adults and Girls that can be integrated into your group year plan. It is designed like one of the Leadership Journeys, offering suggested session plans and facilitation tips to engage your girls in a fun, girl-led, series of learning activities.
Why Use the J2J?
J2J is designed to make getting your group to Jubilation as easy as possible. We've broken down the planning stages for you and created a dozen sessions for you to do with your troop/group. You can do as many sessions at a time as you like, from one a week to all in one day.
The Journey is designed to work for you even if all of your girls aren't going to be attending Jubilation. By going through the sessions, your girls will learn about budgeting, meal planning, safety, Girl Scout Traditions, and many other things that will help them with other events and trips in the future.
We've provided some core, extra, and advanced activities for you for each session. Feel free to use them or come up with your own! The Journey is completely customizable.
